Developing For The Android Platform
Soon after started writing, and it was only available in the United
USA. Today, there are hundreds of devices being launched around the world -Smartphones,tablets, e-book readers, and special devices , such as
Google TV. The Android platform has undergone extensive changes since the first edition of this book was published. The Android SDK has many new features and development tools have received many much needed updates Android, like technology, is now a solid level within the mobile market.
In this new edition, we took the opportunity to make a seriousexamination of the contents of the book. But do not worry, he is still the book that Readers loved the first (and second!)instead, he is only bigger, better and more comprehensive. To cover more of the exciting topics available for
Android developers, we had to divide the book into two volumes.
In addition to adding tons of new content, we redid the tests and update all existing content (text and sample code) for use with the newest Android SDKs available, while at the same time ,backward compatibility.
The Android development community isdiverse, and we aim to support all developers, regardless of devices for which they are developing .
This includes developers that need to aim almost any platform, so that the cover
SDKs certain key areas of the oldest still included because this is often the most reasonable option for compatibility.
Here are some of the highlights of additions and improvements we've made in this issue :Coverage of the latest and greatest Android tools and utilities ;Updates to all existing chapters , often with some sections entirely new ;
